First Group 3 Win – JUST BEAUTIFUL! achieved Group 3 success at Doncaster in the Japan Racing Association Sceptre Stakes!
The filly has been an absolute star for the yard, and this win was her fifth from seven starts, and last time out she was beaten only half a length at Deauville in the Group 3 Prix de Lieurey.
With her success so far, this was a much deserved breakthrough at Group level. She grabbed the race by the scruff of the neck just after halfway and was going easily under Silvestre De Sousa, then showed real guts when the runner-up came at her with a strong challenge inside the final furlong, but she held on gamely for the win. She should be capabale of further success at this level.
For now, the £45,368 prize money today, on top of her previous winnings, represents a great return for a filly bought by Ivan as a yearling for only £8,000 guineas!
