BOWOOD wins on stable debut at Doncaster this afternoon!
Woody was held up in the rear until 2f out when he began to make good headway, despite not having the clearest of runs coming down the straight. Under a great ride from our yard apprentice Elle-May Croot he stuck his head out when he got a run 2f out and finished off well once in the clear, getting up in the final stride. He hadn’t previously even been placed on turf, but we are delighted that he lost his maiden tag on his yard debut, and seemed to appreciate the step back up to a mile which he saw out well. Hopefully he will remain competitive going forward!
Congratulations to all connections and well done to the team at home.
