Facilities At Wiseton Racing Stables
In 2023, Ivan and his team moved back to Wiseton Racing Stables, where it all started for him back in 2015. This is a well-equipped traditional training facility with a proven record of producing winners - besides Ivan himself, it was previously the training base of former trainer David Brown.
Wiseton Stables is an outstanding equestrian property, the main courtyard being an impressive listed building, and it has all the facilities required for sending out winners. We have 43 light and airy boxes housed within two American-style barns, and in a group of traditional stables in the courtyard quadrangle. We also have a further 12 boxes nearby, in our overflow yard at Moorhouse Farm, for horses having a break or in pre-training.
At Wiseton we have a one mile polytrack all weather gallop, which can be used left or right-handed, and offers a great opportunity for horses to really stretch out and test themselves. We also have a covered horse walker, lunge ring with viewing platform, trotting/warm up canter track, and around 20 acres of paddocks for grazing and turnout that allow us to give the horses time to rest, recover and relax year round. There are plenty of opportunities for the horses to hack around private lanes and through woodland trails, just to break up their routine and give them a varied and balanced programme of activity.
Wiseton benefits from being in a very convenient location, near Doncaster, with easy access to all of the Yorkshire racecourses, as well as offering short journey times to all of the racecourses in the Midlands.
