We enjoyed our first Win of 2024 for Team Furtado as STOIC SYD got us off the mark in the 1m classified stakes at Southwell yesterday afternoon!
From a wide draw, he got a prominent position to take the lead 3f out, running on well towards the finish to win by 2 lengths! Nice to see him in the winners enclosure today as he’s been with us from a yearling.
The Zoffany gelding had run well in two appearances over 7f at the course recently, and appeared to relish this step up in trip, to comfortably open his account. Lets hope he can continue this form when returned to handicaps, especially over this new distance.
