Haydock Winner for Team Furtado! A delightful afternoon for the team at Haydock Park racecourse, as BIRD OF PLAY, a 3yo gelding by Free Eagle, broke his maiden tag at the 7th attempt.
He had 3 previous runs for us after joining the stable from Ireland, and he proved well suited by this quicker surface and avoided the scrimmaging late on, scoring quite nicely and well ridden by yard apprentice Elle-May Croot. This success suggests he has more to offer.
